An absolutely top-class oyster comes from the side of the Ile d`Oleron facing La Rochelle - the Gillardeau. It is a `deep` oyster and belongs to the Portugaises family. Above all, however, it is a Special de Claires and thus a quality level above the well-known Fine de Claires. The N3 is suitable for frying, for example, and weighs around 100g gross. The difference to other oysters is immediately apparent after opening it, because you will probably never have seen an oyster that is so full, i.e. with such a pronounced fleshy body. This is thanks to a special algae that only occurs in this area. Experience what a delicacy an oyster can be... The Gillardeau oyster is currently considered the best oyster in the world and is therefore often counterfeited. Real Gillardeau can be recognized by a lasered G on each individual oyster. NOTE ON FRESH OYSTERS AVAILABILITY: If you order from us by 2 p.m. on Thursday (assuming payment), we can take your needs for the following week into account. Oysters are taken fresh from the sea on Mondays and then delivered to Germany by express. They then arrive with us on Tuesday, which means we can send them to you from Wednesday. The latest delivery day of the week is Friday via UPS Express. We always try to get all the oysters we need, but it can happen that the manufacturer/breeder does not deliver everything we have ordered.
