If you want to save yourself the hassle of manually pulling the pork apart, then choose our portioned pulled pork. Simply heat the meat in the package in a water bath or in the oven/convection oven with steam, and serve on bread rolls with BBQ sauce. The LiVar pig is fed exclusively with grain from the Limburg region (NL). The pigs are slaughtered at ten to eleven months and have a slaughter weight of around 120 kilos. The meat of the LiVar pig is firm and slightly darker than that of conventional pigs. Due to its fine marbling and high intramuscular fat content, it also retains its juice particularly well and remains tender and juicy after frying in the pan instead of drying out.
