The pastures where the Iberian Bellota Cinco Jotas pigs are raised are located in the southwest of the peninsula, specifically in the area of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Huelva Natural Park. The pigs graze in these pastures in complete freedom all year round, covering up to 14 kilometers a day, thus obtaining a tastier and smoother ham. They eat almost exclusively acorns and natural grasses found in the pastures. The main trees that grow here are holm oaks, gall oaks and cork oaks, which provide different types of acorns for the pig`s diet. With hints of acorns, damp grass and thyme, the aromas captivate your senses and provide a gourmet experience before it even melts in your mouth.
