Marunaka Shoyu is known for its outstanding quality, which is unrivalled. This of course also applies to the standard Shoyu, although the expression is somewhat of an understatement here. And just as with wine, balsamic vinegar or olive oil, there is always that one barrel, that one pressing that the master considers to be the absolute in terms of taste, purity and aroma. That is why we are particularly pleased to be able to present Ootori-Phoenix for the first time outside of Japan. This top-quality Shoyu can only be pre-ordered and is normally only sold to regular customers in Japan. We have the great honour of being able to offer a few bottles. During our tasting, we added warm water to the Shoyu to better taste the aroma. This essence tasted like an outstanding quality consomme! All of the participants in the tasting were impressed. This Shoyu, made from the best basic ingredients, has matured for at least 3 years. This is the period that most brewers of natural soy sauce consider to be the optimum. A fantastic harmony that can only arise in the special microclimate of Marunaka Shoyu. Naturally suitable for fish and Wagyu
