Tamari soy sauce is a soy sauce made from soybeans. The soybeans are usually harvested and pressed by hand. Unlike many soy sauces, Tamari does not contain wheat and is therefore gluten-free and suitable for allergy sufferers. Compared to regular soy sauce, Tamari sauce is less salty. In everyday cooking, Tamari soy sauce is used in many areas, for seasoning soups, sauces, for marinating dishes and can also be used as a dip.
