The Cuvee Pertois-Lebrun No. 13 Grand Cru comes from Chardonnays from the single vineyard `Le Fond du Bateau`. This was planted in 1955 by Paul Pertois, the grandfather of Antoine and Clement, and is located on the terroir of Chouilly, a village classified as Grand Cru on the prestigious Cote de Blancs. This Chouilly Grand Cru champagne offers delicate aromas of ripe citrus fruits, exotic fruits, accompanied by light vanilla and toasted notes as well as liquorice, typical of the chalk of this terroir. On the palate, the attack is smooth and fresh and opens up to a fairly broad and fleshy palate that surprises with its beautiful consistency. The tangy freshness is retained in the finish and the chalky feeling remains very present.
