The Krug 2011 is full-bodied and at the same time sparkling. For the House of Krug, 2011 brought a surprising champagne that combines finesse and power with a spontaneous, lively facet that comes from this fiery year. A bouquet of white fruits gives way to fresh citrus fruits, followed by mentholated nuances with a hint of basil. In an interplay of attractive contrasts, this champagne opens with an enveloping roundness of pastries and compote. On the palate, they give way to a hint of smoke and thyme. The angular, lively finish, which tempts with notes of sea salt and grapefruit peel, is a surprise. 97 points Wine Spectator.
