The champagne is a 100% Pinot Noir from the 2014 vintage. The vineyards of Champagne Louise Brison are located at around 320 meters above sea level and are characterized by Kimmeridge limestone and marl with a layer of clay - similar to neighboring Chablis. The base wine was fermented in barriques and the assemblage was brought together in stainless steel. Disgorging took place with zero grams of dosage in October 2022. It smells of ripe citrus fruits of various colors, including grated and partly candied zest. There is also a hint of candied ginger and bay leaves. Basically, the champagne has a pleasantly cool effect, and even the patisserie notes have something rather cool about them. Some red berries and a little red apple are reminiscent of Pinot Noir. On the palate, the 2014 Pinot Noir de la Cote des Bar presents a lot of citrus fruit, ranging from a crisp yellow lemon to mandarin oranges, pomelo and kumquats. There is also a hint of sweet lemon candy. There are also a few red berries. The Kimmerdige lime provides a lot of tension and a powerful, energetic acidity as well as a distinctive salt content in the finish, which in turn is responsible for a high drinking flow.
