From the reliable independent bottler Maltman comes a secret Islay single malt, 11 years old and finished in a rum cask from the Caribbean. Named after a legendary transport boat that in earlier times transported thousands of barrels of whisky from Islay to the Scottish mainland. The Vital Spark is heavily peated, with aromas of spicy seaweed, charcoal, salted licorice, chocolate raisins and caramelized brown sugar. The finish is very smoky with a sweet component and long lasting.
