Pale yellow colour with delicate copper reflections. The fine, even perlage reinforces the animating visual impression. The south-facing location gives us an extremely expressive nose: ripe notes of flowers and yellow fruits. The grapes were harvested at a perfect level of ripeness. A champagne with a strong body, notes of lilac, pear and peach combine with ripe exotic aromas. Complex on the palate, with the minerality typical of the chalk, reminiscent of oyster shell and hazelnut. An extremely powerful, harmonious and at the same time balanced champagne with a promising finish and a high aging potential. 94 points Wine Spectator. A tribute to William Deutz, who from the beginning always paid attention to the special features of the locations for the production of his cuvees. William Deutz was an advocate of terroir, firmly of the opinion that a great wine can only grow on great terroir. The vineyards of Ay are spread over a huge chalk cliff (belemnite), covered by a thin layer of limestone and clay. This terroir is responsible for the strong mineral expression of the great Pinot Noir of Ay. The two plots La Cote Glaciere and Meurtet reflect maximum intensity, structure and minerality. This champagne comes exclusively from the plot `La Cote Glaciere`, directly above the house and completely facing south.
