2020 Sancerre Jadis, dry, 14.5% vol., H.Bourgeois

A Sauvignon Blanc from vines over 60 years old that grow on marl soils. Typical for the Jadis are the aromas of exotic fruits, paired with a light hint of honey - a Sancerre elixir. A rarity with great storage potential. The house`s style is rather traditional. Great importance is attached to minerality, as this reflects the magnificently different terroirs of the Loire. The fruit bombs that are so modern and filling these days are not found among these wines. The Sancerre and Pouilly Fume from Bourgeois are also characterized by very good storage capacity. The premium series only show their beautiful bloom after the third or fourth year and are still a wonderful drinking pleasure even after 10 years.
