The English bottler North Star Spirits has hit the jackpot with this secret Orkney bottling. Since there are only two distilleries on Orkney, the choice of who produced the raw material here is quite small. Most lovers will probably be able to taste the origin. The Oloroso sherry cask used for maturation comes across very well. The sherry hogshead in which the whisky matured gives us beautiful notes of wood, leather and burlap as well as notes of milk chocolate and heather, underlined by gentle smoky tones. Distilled in January 2004, bottled in May 2024.
