In 1976, Claude Amadieu was the first to produce a barrel-aged pomace from Gigondas. This noble product is the spirit of distilling the best pomace, made exclusively from grapes from the Gigondas vineyard. It concentrates all the power and finesse of the grape varieties and the exceptional quality of the terroir. Claude Amadieu paid particular attention to the selection of the pomace and the traditional distillation. This natural product opens after aging in 400-litre oak barrels in an underground cellar. The 10-year aging period gives this pomace all its aromas, its roundness, finesse and a perfect harmony with the oak wood.
