Smalands Glogg is a mulled wine based on lingonberry and apple wine that comes from the southern Swedish province of Smaland. Wild lingonberries there give the Glogg its aromatic, full character. Cinnamon, cloves and coriander give it its balanced spiciness. The word Glogg is the shortened form of glodgat vin and actually means nothing other than mulled wine. Glogg is sometimes also called Swedish punch or Swedish mulled wine. We recommend serving the Vinfabriken Smalandsglogg in a mug with a spoon according to Swedish tradition. Cover the bottom of the mug with finely chopped almonds and raisins and fill it with the gently warmed Glogg. It also tastes great chilled, e.g. mixed with sparkling wine. Also available as a 5 liter canister, item 54083.
