Wakame is a dried seaweed (brown algae) that is used in soups or as a flavoring in Asian cuisine. You only need to soak the dried seaweed in cold water for 5 minutes and then it is ready to use. Seaweed contains hardly any fat, no cholesterol but lots of minerals and fiber.
