The wine appears very dense on the nose. The light taste of elderberry is surprising. You can smell an intensely exotic note. Ripe melon and a hint of cumin complement the smell. On the palate it becomes softer and fruitier. The acidity is subtle and round, accompanying the aromas on the finish. Quince alternates with apple, and a note of kumquat resonates in the acidity. These flavors are reminiscent of a ripe, white Burgundy. The cuvee remains a secret. All wines in the Macionga range are only produced in small quantities. In 2011, Andre Macionga asked himself the question for the first time: `What would my own wine taste like?` The effects of this question were groundbreaking for him and shaped the rest of his life. From year to year, cuveeing developed into an ever greater passion for him. In 2017, he cuveeed wines with four wineries for the first time. The cooperative work and the associated creative exchange with winemakers from different regions is very valuable to him; and always an act of inspiration. Thanks to this collaboration, he was able to realize his ideas. This resulted in the founding of Andre Macionga Cuvee GmbH. The cuvees that he has been able to create so far are unique wines. They are clearly structured and have substance. Let yourself be enchanted by the taste images on your palate and explore these wines with strong character. You will discover numerous nuances and facets. Andre Macionga has been a sommelier at the Michelin-starred restaurant Tim Raue in Berlin since 2006.
