2018 Nymphe vom Montfort, dry, 13.5% vol., Andre Macionga and Klostermuhle

A cuvee of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Fabulous spice, light herbal tones, a little lemongrass and a hint of aniseed are present in the world of smell. The palate reflects this aroma and underlines the delicate tone of nuts. The mineral taste becomes more and more apparent and is reminiscent of limestone. The floral note increases and all in all the wine seems very vital. The cuvee radiates with a fully ripe presence. The aroma bouquet is reminiscent of pineapple and light apple tones. Nose and palate combine in an aroma that is both harmonious and complex. All wines in the Macionga range are only produced in small quantities. In 2011 Andre Macionga asked himself the question for the first time: `What would my own wine taste like?` The effects of this question were groundbreaking for him and shaped the rest of his life. From year to year, cuveeing developed into an ever greater passion for him. In 2017, he cuveeted wines with four wineries for the first time. The cooperative work and the associated creative exchange with winemakers from different regions is very valuable to him; and always an act of inspiration. Thanks to this collaboration, he was able to realize his ideas. This resulted in the founding of Andre Macionga Cuvee GmbH. The cuvees that he has been able to create so far are unique wines.
