2021 Senior Ayler Riesling Barrel 6, dry, 11.5% vol., Lauer

Grandfather Peter Lauer I (1906-1991) used to enjoy a bottle of Riesling every day. It smelled wonderful, tasted dry but finely balanced with a hint of fruit on the tongue. Every year he chose a barrel from the Ayler Kupp. He placed particular importance on having a single wine for all his guests that would please both dry drinkers and lovers of fruity wines. As a tribute to this famous senior, the Lauer winery vinifies a worthy successor every year that the grandfather would enjoy.
