DE-OKO-039. The vines for this Palatinate Chardonnay thrive on the Haardter Mandelring site. The vines came directly from Burgundy at the time. It is matured in the classic barrique style, 50% new and 50% used. A wine that has a lot of power, but a wonderful balance. Roasted almonds and hazelnuts as well as bread combine to create a great treat. The wine has a harmonious acid structure and a lot of bite in the aftertaste. Characterized by the limestone marl, the wine offers a pronounced saltiness on the palate, complemented by a delicate reduction in the nose. A typical Andres local wine.
