DE-OKO-039 The `von unserm` Rheingau Riesling presents itself in the glass with a light lemon yellow color. Very green and fresh aromas such as green apple, lychee and spring herbs unfold on the nose. On the palate, the strong mineral acidity, notes of citrus fruits and a light hint of pears stand out. A classic, rather cool and straightforward Rheingau Riesling. Behind the name `von unserm` stands a history that is over 140 years old and dates back to the beginnings of the winery. The founder of the winery, Balthasar Ress, owned a restaurant and grew his own vines as a sideline. He wanted to distinguish his own wines from the other wines on his menu and gave them the name `von unserm`. Since then, a new wine has been produced every year that bears this name and today it is the winery`s liquid calling card.
