DE-OKO-039. The VDP.ERSTE LAGE® Nackenheimer Engelsberg is located on the plateau above the Roter Hange at the height of the Rothenberg. It forms the connection between the steep slopes of the Rhine Valley and the foothills of the Eichelsbach Valley to the northeast. An exciting combination of calcareous soils from the upper Rotliegend and the Red Clay Slate of the Permian period shape its character. A wonderful combination of the spiciness of the Red Clay Slate and the juiciness of the limestone. The 2023 vintage is a premiere.
