2023 Pinot Gris, dry, 12.5% vol., Hofmann, ORGANIC VEGAN

DE-OKO-039 The nose is characterized by white fruits, banana and melon. The taste is very creamy, with a lot of melting, very juicy and playful. With a long, lasting finish, the Pinot Gris goes well with hearty dishes and roasts. The vineyards of the Hofmann winery are in Appenheim in northern Rheinhessen. The best locations in Appenheim are geologically characterized by the foothills of the primeval sea, which created shell limestone soils. The Pinot Gris comes from the Hundertgulden, a south-facing location at the foot of the Westerberg. The limestone from which the soil developed are the remains of a calcareous algae reef. The Burgundies here are very creamy, with minerality and have fine aromas of pear and banana.
