Deep ruby red. Rich and intense. Numerous and well-integrated notes, ranging from small black forest fruits to precious woods such as vanilla, cocoa, and licorice, unfold a seductive complexity. The palate is dry, well-structured, austere, and elegant; with acidity that strikes an excellent balance with the distinct yet very fine tannin structure. A long finish. This is Borgo Scopeto`s first vintage of the Gran Selezione quality level, newly introduced in 2014, which thus represents the pinnacle of the Chianti Classico quality hierarchy.
