2022 Sangiovese IGT, dry, 13.5% vol., Caparzo

The Sangiovese grapes (85%) for this wine come from three associated vineyards in Montalcino, Castelnuovo Berardenga, and Magliano, bringing elegance to the wine. Alicante from Magliano in the Maremma provides color and tannins, Merlot from Castelnovo Berardenga in Chianti adds harmony and fragrance, and Petit Verdot from Montalcino adds structure and color. Intense ruby red. Fruity and spicy, savory and round with a good finish, reminiscent of blackberries and raspberries.
