2021 Valpolicella RIPASSO Superiore DOC, dry, 14.5% vol., Monte Zovo

Intense garnet red. The nose offers aromas of ripe fruit, cherries, plums, and black currants. In addition to sweet notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves, this Ripasso also reveals floral hints of geranium and violet. On the palate, it is soft, balanced, and full-bodied. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats and excellently with succulent main courses such as pasta or risotto. It also pairs well with cold cuts and hard cheeses.
