2017 Vin Jaune Chateau Chalon, white wine, dry, 14.5% vol., Savagny

Deep golden yellow. On the palate, a complex nose with notes of nuts, curry, some hints of hummus, and dried flowers. The palate is round with a beautiful structure, supported by a light acidity. Good length with persistent aromas of nuts and undergrowth. It is the minerality of the Chateau-Chalon terroir that lends it all its complexity. The soils are chalky and clayey, with marly content on the lower slopes. The Vins Jaunes are aged for 6 years in barriques according to an old regional tradition. Bottled in the 620 ml Clavelin bottles, typical of Vin Jaune.
