2022 Domaine de Grachies, dry, 11.5% vol., Fontan

Gascony, located 150 km southeast of Bordeaux, enjoys a strong reputation as the home of France`s oldest gastronomic traditions (e.g., Armagnac). The vineyards of Domaine de Grachies are spread across hillsides where loamy, sandy soils predominate. The climate is more Atlantic than Mediterranean, somewhat sheltered from ocean winds. The Colombard and Sauvignon grape varieties provide the aromas (pomelo, exotic fruits), while Ugni Blanc and Gros Manseng provide structure and roundness.
