The pastures where the Iberian Bellota Cinco Jotas pigs are raised are located in the southwest of the peninsula, specifically in the area of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Huelva Natural Park. The pigs graze freely in these meadows year-round, covering up to 14 kilometers a day, resulting in a tastier and smoother ham. They feed almost exclusively on acorns and natural grasses found in the pastures. Holm oak, gall oak, and cork oak grow predominantly here, providing various types of acorns for the pig`s diet. With hints of acorns, damp grass, and thyme, the aromas captivate your senses, creating a gourmet experience before it even melts on your tongue.
