The Obegg Sauvignon Blanc vineyard (location) is a truly exceptional wine, whose wonderful vines were planted in 1989 on a topsoil of up to 40 cm of sand, connected to a coral reef. This unique combination of soil and vines gives the wine a very special character. The grapes are carefully vinified and aged in 500-liter French oak barrels, 20% of which is new wood. Spontaneous fermentation and 100% malolactic fermentation help preserve the natural freshness and expressiveness of the grapes. After one year on the fermentation lees without the addition of sulfur, the wine is aged for a further year in steel tanks to give it additional complexity and refinement. On the nose, the Obegg Sauvignon Blanc presents aromas of vanilla and ripe pineapple. This interplay of aromas makes it a true culinary experience, impressively reflecting the uniqueness of the vines and the specific characteristics of the terroir. A wine for connoisseurs, it delights with its complexity and finesse.
