2022 Der Bar Veltliner, Wachau DAC, dry, 13% vol., Sighardt Donabaum

This Gruner Veltliner is a beast of a wine. Aromas of Williams pears, pineapple, pink grapefruit, and sweet and peppery notes on the palate. A bouquet of bacon-covered pears and zest make it a powerful wine. It displays bite and character with a wonderful melt, and despite its fullness, it is almost delicate and offers impressive length.
