Niepoort Senior Tawny Reserve Port wine, sweet, % vol., Portugal

For decades, Niepoort`s philosophy has been to innovate, diversify, break taboos, and preserve tradition. The Senior Tawny wine ages most of its time in small barrels at the Niepoort Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia. The small barrels allow gentle and light contact with air through the pores of the wood, resulting in a slow oxidation process over the years. Brick-red tawny appearance; a velvety mouthfeel with a fine blend of mature wines that add richness; balanced with younger wines that add freshness and complexity. This tawny pairs well with cheeses and chocolate-based desserts. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif, served at room temperature or slightly chilled.
