The geographical origin of tortiglioni is difficult to determine. They belong to the family of straight-cut short formats. They have a diameter of 11.3 mm, are on average 48 mm long and between 1.05 and 1.15 mm thick. The tortiglioni taste excellent served with delicious meat ragout, but they also taste great with vegetables and tomato sauces. This format is also particularly suitable for oven dishes. Since 1887, the De Cecco company has been producing pasta exclusively from the best types of durum wheat.
