The sweet chestnut is one of the most beautiful and striking trees in southern France and Italian Tuscany. In this plant, the male inflorescences provide the nectar, so abundantly that the entire inflorescence appears sticky. The honey stays liquid for a long time due to the high fructose content, has a strong, elegant aroma and pleases with its slightly bitter note. Sweet chestnut honeys have a high ferment and inhibin content.
