For a Portugieser, this wine is quite dark and dense. Light roasted aromas, strawberry and other red fruits can be found on the nose and palate, as well as herbal aromas. In the mouth, the minerality of the slate soil, on which the vines have been pushing their roots into the earth for decades, is also surprising. We recommend this wine with pasta with mushrooms, wild birds, rabbit or pike-perch fried on the skin. In summer, serve slightly chilled with salads as a red summer surprise.
