Already 10,000 years ago, the fruit of the avocado tree has been used as a supplier of oil and fruit by the Aztecs in Central America. The avocado tree is impressive 15m high. It grows among others in tropical Mexico. The many small white-greenish flowers are similar to our sweet cherry, mandatory dependent on insect pollination. The bee has the avocado both plentiful and delicious nectar pollen. From the nectar the bees put forth the strong fruity, very aromatic avocado honey that tastes a bit like dried fruit and plums.
