For cooking fruits. Preparation: boil water with canning sugar, allow to cool slightly. Layer fruit in glasses and pour over the sugar solution. Fruits should be barely covered. Briefly boil hard pears or quinces in the sugar solution. Close glasses and sterilize in a boil-in-kettle or oven.
