Our farm is the result of the farming tenacity of our parents, who, during the years of economic boom, stuck firmly to farming the land, which at that time mainly focused on wheat. Father Antonio and mother Adriana were farmers and envisioned a future for us in a bank or office, far away from the toil of sowing and harvesting. Instead, at the age of 19, Alessandro loved working with the tractor, and Rosalba carefully packed the bags of lentils by hand. A family from Colfiorito. This is still us. We came from the country and stayed connected to the country. And through that, we are still trying to recreate the love and care we grew up with.
But Colfiorito is synonymous with lentils and potatoes with a protected geographical indication and so in the 1980s, also under our direct pressure, these plants became part of our production, together with spelled, which is more suitable for our altitudes. Over time, the cultivated areas have become more diverse, the product range has expanded and the La Valletta brand has evolved from a simple toponym of our country to a synonym for authenticity and taste. Three generations of the Cappelletti family have joined the company with different skills involved, a decision that allows us to continue our connection with the country into the future.
