Now it is factually: winemaker Rainer Sauer and his wife Helga run the winery since 1979. Daniel Sauer represents the next generation of the family winery. The graduate oenologist studied after one year internship in California in Geisenheim, a lot of experience in wineries outside franc, and in 2011 was crowned by DLG for young winemaker of the year. He works as a winemaker at the winery.

The farmed vineyard area is 14 hectares, 61% of Sylvaner, Müller-Thurgau 20%, 9% Riesling, Kerner 4%, 2% red varieties, 4% other varieties. Rainer Sauer wines grow on limestone and Lettenkeuper. The steep slopes around Escherndorf lying in a sheltered, sunny boiler. The conditions are unique.

In the spring of 2015, the reconstruction of the estate has been completed. The old building was completely gutted, only the outer walls remained standing. The architecture is characterized by a high degree of authenticity and is determined by a very conscious, honest use of materials, right down to the last detail - an absolute highlight in the Franconian wine landscape architecture. The revision of the corporate design and the equipment was parallel to the remodeling and follows the same design guideline: Clear, humble and honest.
