    Balsamic Vinegar

    The Malpighi family was part of a knightly order until the early 1900s. Decade after decade, balsamic vinegar has become the passion and leitmotif of the ancient family, which preserves a treasure of 3,000 barrels in which the aging process of traditional balsamic vinegar takes place.
    In 1850, Pietro Malpighi (the first generation) began producing traditional Modena balsamic vinegar in his attic. For 160 years, the tradition and production secrets have been passed down through Pietro, Augusto, Maria (89 years old), and Ermes. Today, Massimo, representing the fifth generation of the family, is the current president of Acetaia Malpighi.
    It was Peter, Massimo`s great-great-grandfather, who certified the beginning of the production of traditional balsamic vinegar from Modena to the Malpighi brand through a handwritten letter.
    To continue the ancient tradition, Massimo has already preserved two bottles of traditional balsamic vinegar for his sons, Leonardo and Lorenzo. Acetaia Malpighi is internationally recognized as a Made in Italy brand and markets its products worldwide.
