William Fevre winery - Burgundy Chablis wine region

The William Fevre winery, along with two other wineries, is now one of the absolute top of Chablis. They are listed in the highest category in all wine guides.

The family has been growing wine in Chablis for 250 years and has made a name for itself as a champion of the historic terroir. The Chablis terroir is characterized by a high proportion of Kimmeridge chalk in various forms, which gives the wines their enormous minerality and a steely freshness and is also responsible for their long shelf life.

All of the winery`s efforts aim to express the subtle variations and the purest character of the numerous individual vineyards.

With 15 percent, William Fevre is the largest owner of the 100 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in Chablis.
